Look back far enough into most old world wine regions and you ll find monks, but Abbazia di Novacello in northern Italy s Alto Adige region is interesting in that even today its operations are handled by the Augustinian Order of Canons Regular. The Valle Iscaro Kerner is rich in apricot, orange and peach flavors, with a nice minerality and white blossom finish. This wine would pair well with Thai Green Curry dishes, heavier white fish dishes and soft cheeses.
