The Di Carlo family has a long-standing history as winegrowers in the Abruzzo region of Italy, with documentation recording their first exportation of wine in the early 19th century. In the 1980s, Giannicola Di Carlo, a bio-agronomist, converted all farming and winery operations to organic methods, making Agriverde one of the first organic certified wineries in Italy in 1991, and the Natum line specificially was the first to be certified vegan-friendly. The Cabernet Sauvignon is lighter in style, with fine tannins and bright flavors of fresh raspberries, plum and blueberries, as well as licorice and spice.
