Third generation viticulturist Sebastian Zuccardi has a saying: We do not look for perfect wines, but those that best express the place where they come from. Concreto is a prime example of that philosophy. Malbec grapes grown at an altitude of 3609 feet in the stoney soils of the Uco Valley sub-region of Paraje Altamira are specifically selected. Whole bunch fermentation using only native yeasts takes place in concrete amphorae. Inert concrete tanks are also used for aging in order to preserve the aromatic complexity and fruit character of the wine while enhancing the texture and structure. The resulting wine has vibrant floral notes with rich blackberry and plum supported by an earthy mineral character. A wine perfect for grilled chimichurri beef.
